With our Son-Rise journey through autism, what is more amazing than the transformation I am seeing in my son (from being completely withdrawn to craving our attention) is the transformation I am seeing in myself.

I am learning not just to accept the things I cannot change;

But gaining the courage to be a force of nature and change the things I can change;

And the wisdom to know that there is so much more I have control of and I can change. I cannot change others but there is so much about myself, my beliefs and how I deal with life that I can change.

Life doesn’t happen to us. Life happens FOR US!
